Animation on the theme of dance and space, echoing Oskar Schlemmer's triadic ballets of the Bauhaus movement.

Oskar Schlemmer, a German painter, decorator and set designer, created the triadic ballets in 1922; an experimental link between dance, music and theatre. Between abstraction and figuration, he immersed himself in the fundamental laws of the Bauhaus, based on the minimum, the essential, the original.

Edith Delattre’s exploration of space from this mathematical poetry and with respect for the triad of form: three performers, three forms, three colours, as well as geometry, photography and fantasy, the triad necessary for the creation of this animation.

Phil St George created the music on the images. The musical piece is called Bauhaus 74 because it is built on a 7/4 measure. Inspired by Steve Reich’s minimalism, a simple melodic motif is repeated, superposed, shifted and creates by its multiplication an atypical and danceable ballet music.

Animation sur le thème de la danse et l'espace, en écho avec les ballets triadiques d'Oskar Schlemmer du mouvement Bauhaus.

Oskar Schlemmer, peintre, décorateur de théâtre et scénographe allemand, crée en 1922 les ballets triadiques ; un trait d’union expérimental entre la danse, la musique et le théâtre. Entre abstraction et figuration, il s'imprègne des lois fondamentales du Bauhaus, basées sur le minimum, l’essentiel, l’originel.

Mon exploration de l’espace est issue de cette poésie mathématique et dans le respect de la triade pour la mise en forme : trois interprètes, trois formes, trois couleurs, ainsi que géométrie, photographie et fantaisie, la triade nécessaire pour la création de cette animation.

Phil St George a écrit la musique sur les images. Le morceau musical se nomme Bauhaus 74 car il est bâti sur une mesure en 7/4. Inspiré du minimalisme de Steve Reich, un motif mélodique simple se répète, se superpose, se décale et crée par sa démultiplication une musique de ballet atypique et dansante.
